Pada kontes Eurovision tahun 2009 lalu, Eropa memilih Alexander Rybak sebagai pemenang pertama, musisi asal Norwegia yang memainkan lagu Fairy Tale, lagu yang terkesan lebih tradisional. Tahun lalu pula, muncul pemenang ke empat dari ajang Eurovision yakni Hadise yang mewakili Turki dengan lagunya yang berjudul Dum Tek Tek (favorit saya tahun lalu), yang unsur tradisionalnya sangat kental. Yap...yap...yap...tahun lalu unsur tradisional dan tata panggung yang agak ribet-lah yang menjadi pemenangnya, bagaimana dengan tahun ini? Sepertinya selera masyarakat Eropa tahun ini sedikit berubah dan lebih memilih musik yang lebih modern.
Kontes Eurovision tahun ini dimenangkan oleh Lena Meyer - Landrut, gadis kelahiran Hannover, 23 Mei 1991 (Wikipedia). Salah satu lagu yang dinyanyikannya pada malam final Eurovision 2010 tanggal 30 Mei lalu adalah lagu Satellite. Lagu Satellite adalah lagu ciptaan Julie Frost (musisi Amerika) dan Dane John Gordon (musisi Denmark). Lagu ini jauh dari kesan tradisional, Satellite merupakan lagu pop kontemporer yang asik buat joged.
Dengan tata panggung yang sederhana, koreografi yang simple banget, dan terlihat effortless maka jadilah penampilan Lena dalam membawakan lagu ini pada final Eurovision 2010 terkesan sangat menyenangkan dan mudah untuk dinikmati. Cara Lena bernyanyi sedikit mengingatkan saya pada Lily Allen, musisi dan pencipta lagu asal Inggris. Aksen Jerman Lena juga cukup kental, tapi lagu ini semakin terdengar seksi dengan aksen tersebut. Hasilnya Lena menang telak dengan point 246 mengalahkan juara kedua yakni MaNga dari Turki dengan skor 170 (eurovision.tv) dan tentunya mengalahkan peserta-peserta lainnya. Rasanya kita tidak asing dengan band ini, yap ... MaNga adalah band asal Turki yang pada tahun 2009 lalu mendapat penghargaan Best European Act dari MTV Europe Music Award.
Saya sangat suka dengan lagu Satellite ini. Lagu yang menggambarkan seseorang yang sedang jatuh cinta dan dia akan melakukan apa pun untuk orang yang dicintainya. Sejujurnya, lirik lagu ini gombal banget, hehe, tapi gombal yang ini gombal yang lucu dan musiknya yang sangat fun turut memprovokasi pendengarnya untuk turut merasakan isi lagu ini (dan berjoged tentunya). Tiga kata yang bisa mengungkapkan kesan saya terhadap lagu ini adalah sederhana, effortless, dan menyenangkan. Congrats Lena... dan sepertinya Eurovision mulai menarik bagi saya, hehe, yap, menurut saya Eurovision lebih unik dan lebih beragam (maklum lah, wong kontestannya dari berbagai negara di Eropa) dan sepertinya acara ini bakalan lebih saya nantikan daripada X-factor atau pun American Idol (sepertinya saya mulai jenuh dengan kedua acara itu, tapi saya dulu sukaaaaa banget coz banyak artis-artis jebolannya yang sangat berbakat). So, I'll be waiting for 2011 Eurovision Song Contest :)

Tak beberapa lama setelah single Satellite memperoleh hasil penjualan yang cukup baik di Itunes dan mendapat sambutan baik dari masyarakat pecinta musik, muncul-lah plesetan alias parodi dari lagu ini di Youtube. Karena liriknya cukup lucu, jadi saya copy-paste saja di sini. Saya cukup ketawa-ketiwi membaca plesetan lagu Satellite-nya Lena Meyer-Landrut ini, kocak abisss, tapi kalau untuk cara bernyanyi...ehm...saya lebih suka versinya Lena (maklum-lah... namanya juga plesetan, cuma buat lucu-lucuan dong).
